Getting Ready

In just about a month I will head out for a Marist Renewal Program which will give me the chance to spend some time thinking about our Marist roots and spirit. Doing this kind of reflection at the sites where the Society of Mary - Marists - were founded will be an added bonus.

Home base for the first 4 weeks will be a Marist House in La Neyliere, France. It's where our founder (Jean Claude Colin) is buried. While I've never been to La Neyliere, I'm told the above picture is a view from the property. Hopefully, there will be places to run.

The last 2 weeks will be spent at our General House in Rome, Italy. Never a bad place to visit!

This program will also offer me the chance to step away from the SLO Newman ministry and do a little extra praying, and sharing with my Marist brothers from around the world. I'll miss you guys at the Center during the spring quarter, but I know you'll keep me in your prayers.
